A dedicated server (from the English dedicated server and Latin dedicate for "something to someone to dedicate" or "determine for him") is a server that is working on specific purpose, so turned off only for a task (dedicated service) or only one customer is assigned (Dedicated customer). Dedicated server hardware as physical (host) as well as virtual machines (software based) to be realized. The communication is based on the client-server model.
